Supervisory Framework Briefing (2018)

The Optometrists and Opticians Board (the “Board”) will be conducting Supervisory Framework Briefing for practitioners who are currently holding supervisory role and selected provisional practitioners. The briefing is meant to help the practitioners better understand the requirements of the Board’s Supervisory Framework.

There will be two separate sessions – details are as follows:

It is compulsory for all supervisors who have yet to attend previous briefing to attend the briefing(s). You will be eligible for CPE points for your attendance.

The Board has notified all the employers seeking their support to nominate staff to attend to the briefing(s). Please approach your employer/HR to register your preferred briefing session(s) with the Board via the following link:

Due to limited seating capacity, allocation will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration for the briefing(s) should reach the Board not later by 13 August 2018 (Monday).

In addition, please note that there will be a workshop incorporated in Briefing 2 – Supervisors for Provisional Optician only. To enhance your understanding of the framework, you are encouraged to bring along your own case records to the workshop. Should there be anything that you would like to learn or find out more about the Supervisory Framework, you may wish to make use of the opportunity to seek clarifications at the briefing.
